Fifth European Universities Games that will be in Belgrade from July 12-25 2020 will gather students that will compete in 19 sports and two para-sports. According to announcements and expectations Belgrade will host more than 5000 student-athletes.

Based on the plan from the organizers, all trainings and competitions will be held in 28 locations and most of them already hosted some significant European and World competitions.

Opening and closing ceremonies are planned to be in the biggest sports hall in the Balkans – Štark Arena. That is the most modern multifunctional venue for sports, culture, fun, exhibitions, fairs ans other manifestations in this part of Europe. It has the most modern technology, universal use, sofisticated marketing and exteme comfort visited by between 600 000 and 800 000 people annually.

In its part, Štark Arena has a small hall where significant number of games will be played in different sports (volleyball, basletball, 3×3 basketball, handball…)

Among the halls that will host the student-athletes are ‘Ranko Žeravica’ and ‘Aleksandar Nikolić’ halls famous for basketball events in Belgrade. Also, there are USC ‘Voždovac’ and ‘Šumice’, water polo players will compete at the ‘Milan Gale Muškatirović’ swimming pool and tennis players will play their matches in the ‘Novak’ tennis centre that belongs to best Serbian tennis player of all-times and one of the most significant players in the history of the sport – Novak Đoković.

All venues have passed the checks from the EUSA representatives and during the competition will satisfy highest EUSA standards, and complete schedule of traning and competition activities per sports will be published in the near future.
