European Universities Championships are in their peak, and the competitions being held all around the continent are a perfect opportunity for the Local Organizing Committee of the fifth edition of European Universities Games to use them in the best possible way. One more delegation of the EUG 2020 was visiting Zagreb, this time to visit European Universities Combat Sports Championship, in four combat sports – taekwondo, judo, karate and kickboxing to prepare best as possible for the EUG that will be organized in Belgrade from July 12-25 2020.

– We had a chance to be present at the Technical meetings, opening ceremony and to meet the functioning of the accreditation center and accommodation facilities. Also, we had a few meeting with the local organizing committee that shared us their experience and given valuable information that we can use to prepare the fifth European Universities Games in Belgrade. We visited Sports Venues where the competitions were held and go through all the standards requested from the Organizers by EUSA – explained Mr. Sandro Romanić.
Zagreb visit had a broader significance for the fifth European Universities Games in Belgrade:
– We used the competition to promote the EUG 2020. Our promoters share flyers, talked with the participants and gave all necessary information about the big university sport event that our country will host next summer. Regarding the number of participants and European universities that are present in Zagreb, our promotion went great. – concluded Mr. Romanić.
