EUSA Management visited Belgrade again. This time, EUSA President Adam Roczek and EUSA Secretary General Matjaž Pečovnik, before their meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ms. Ana Brnabić, had the meeting with the Basketball Federation of Serbia representatives lead by Secretary General, Mr. Dejan Tomašević.
EUG 2020 Director Mr. Predrag Jušković, Deputy Director Ms. Anita Dobre and Sports Manager Ms. Ana Todorić shared their gratitude to the Basketball Federation of Serbia for their help preparing all the details of the EUG. Except basketball, they also talked about 3×3 basket sport that will also take place at the European Universities Games.
-This is a great honor for our country to host an event like European Universities Games. Also, I have to point out that we are proud to the fact that EUSA management chose to visit our Federation, because we have a rich tradition of basketball in Serbia to show them. I believe that, along with the Local Organizing Committee, we will do our best and that fifth European Universities Games will be organized the best possible and that we will prove to be great host, like we did often in the past – said Basketball Federation of Serbia Secretary General Mr. Dejan Tomašević.
EUSA President Mr. Adam Roczek was delighted with the reception in the Serbian House of Basketball:
-I am very pleased that we visited Basketball Federation of Serbia and we can say with certainty that basketball is sport number one in Serbia. It was a great pleasure to talk with Secretary General Mr. Dejan Tomašević about different organizational segments of the fifth European Universities Games.
