Table Tennis players this summer enjoyed the beautiful Italian city of Camerino and to, for the last time before EUG 2020 in Belgrade, compete at the European University level.
Capital of Serbia will host extremely exciting tournament and how to describe the level of it with short statistics – medals went to students from 12 different Universities from seven different countries.
However, boys and girls from two Russian Universities got the most medals (8) and they will be in the showcase in the cities of Magnitogorsk and Kazan. Girls from the Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov announced their high ambitions in the women´s team competition where they got the gold, and two players from Kazan, Daria Shadrina and Ekaterina Okhotnikova played in the women singles´s final.

Men´s tournament was led by Ibrahim Gündüz from Nisantasi University from Turkey. Amazing 22-year old player who was last year 116th player in the world was great throughout the tournament. First he led his team to win the gold in the Men´s team competition and afterwards he won the gold in the Men´s singles tournament.
However, most medals from this year’s competition went to Magnitogorrsk State Technical University, as their student won fine medals, out of which one was gold in the women´s double.
After the conclusion of fantastic competition in Camerino, we know that we expect equally interesting tournament in Belgrade, at the fifth edition of European Universities Games. Of course, in the capital of Serbia we will see an additional categories, as para table tennis players will also join us.
