The representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and EUG 2020 held an operational meeting in Belgrade to discuss the 5th European Universities Games progress.

A number of issues regarding this year’s competition were discussed at the two-day meeting in the Serbian capital.

EUSA sports manager Besim Aliti, assistant sports manager Liam Smith, sports assistant Lea Medvesek and sports department project assistant Zrinka Tabain were all in attendance.

EUG 2020 representatives from sport, IT and international relations departments were also present, alongside Marin Furcic and Luka Pozgaj from results company FurkiSport.

The meeting began with an update on the progress of the Games, with discussion around volunteer requirements and training.

An overview of various sporting issues and tasks concluded the first day.

Two parallel sessions took place on the second day, focusing in detail on result management and registration.

Time was then given to discuss other operational matters, with the meeting finishing on a discussion about the upcoming National University Sport Associations coordination meeting in May, also taking place in the Serbian capital.

The 5th European Universities Games are scheduled for July 12 to 25, with 6000 participants from 400 European Universities which will compete in 19 sports and two para-sports.
