Two day meeting between the representative of EUSA and EUG 2020 Organization Committee was held in Belgrade. Capital of Serbia will host the fifth edition of European Universities Games in July next year, and after a series of constructive meetings both sides pointed out the satisfaction with the way Belgrade is preparing for the organization of this large event. Delegation of EUSA was lead by Mr. Besim Aliti, sport director with his assistant Mr. Liam Smith and Communication Officer Mr. Fabio de Dominicis.
EUG 2020 Company Director Mr. Predrag Jučković presented his team of associates for the forthcoming event, which then present their plans in details. They discussed the sport part of the Games, objects, security, accommodation, catering, transport, volunteers, etc…
Also, PR strategy was presented as well as the marketing plan and activities that will be used to promote the European Universities Games. Arrival of the EUSA delegation was used for a short tour of the student dormitory “Studentski grad”, which will host athletes and volunteers during the Games. Operative strategy was defined as well as the structure and the logo and the visual identity of the EUG. Also, president of the University Sports Association of Serbia, Mr. Dejan Madić spoke about preparations for the Rectors Conference that will also take place in Belgrade during the Games.
Mutual conclusion after the series of meeting is that a huge improvement is shown in the process of preparing the European Universities Games in 2020 that pretend to be the biggest in EUSA history.
